Esporo
In 2021 we were invited to design the first edition of the public art project Esporo, which took place in Figueiró dos Vinhos, Ansião, and Proença a Nova, Portugal.
“Esporo” is the Portuguese translation for “Spore”.
Therefore, the starting point was the idea of a seed, of spreading something that spreads through nature and the nature of things. A landscape that influences people, and people who impact the landscape.
Esporo is an artistic and cultural contamination through the form of a public art project.
We started our creative process by translating a spore into a graphic form. The result was a group of different size circles. From there, we developed lettering for the titles and a filter to apply to the photos. The final result doesn’t only refer to the treetops and their shadows but also to the repetitive and organic textures that we can find in nature.
We’ve created the entire visual identity, including the templates for the digital materials and every graphic object we present here, and an external graphic team finished the project.
